ABC’S EXTREME MAKEOVER HOME EDITION CHOOSES OBEO DESIGN TO APPEAR IN TWO BACK TO BACK EPISODES STARTING MARCH 12TH, 2006
Boston, M.A., February 22, 2006—Obeo Design announces that ABC’s Extreme Makeover Home Edition chooses the online contemporary furniture retailer to participate in its television show to help the White Family in Oklahoma, The show’s details are a closely guarded secret and the chosen items including bedroom, living and accessories as featured on the show will be seen on www.obeodesign.com after the show airs, in two back-to-back episodes starting March 12th. Obeo Design’s team handpicked from its roster the following manufacturers and wholesalers to participate in this special project: Four Hands, based in Texas, Adonis Furniture, based in California, and Modern Basics, based in Atlanta. These companies kindly donated their goods to help make the show a success. “Four Hands was thrilled at the opportunity to work with Obeo Design and the ABC television show, Extreme Makeover, to help the family in need. The international furniture company was pleased to offer numerous pieces to fill the living and dining spaces for the home renovation. With continued expansion, Four Hands recognizes the importance of charitable contributions and would like to thank Obeo Design and Extreme Makeover for this extraordinary opportunity,” says Kim Bandy, Marketing Manager of Four Hands. “We’re all so excited to contribute to this show. Ty and his team do great things for so many people across the country and we’re just glad we can be a part of it,” says Micheline Yacoub, Founder of Obeo Design. She adds, “when decorating any space, elegance doesn’t have to cost a fortune and we’re here to help everyone achieve that.”

About Modern Basics It is an interesting recipe. Take two friends who met at a fast paced product design firm, add a shared sense of style and appreciation for design, then throw in an economic shift that would make anyone rethink their profession. Add all this to a love of fabric and you get Modern Basics, which was established in 2001 in Atlanta, GA. Modern Basics designs and manufactures contemporary home furnishings and gifts and is available in stores across the United States. ###
