Living the Mission at BSM:
There are many ways students are living out the mission of the Benedictines. Examples include:
Link Crew/WEB: The ultimate purpose of Link Crew/WEB is to help new students feel more comfortable with their transition, and to help them achieve success in the first year at BSM. Link Crew/WEB also seeks to build meaningful relationships and provide leadership opportunities for all students.
Affinity Groups: This is a group for students of color that provides opportunities for community building and networking. Students are invited to come together every Tuesday during lunch to share a meal and affinity.
Support Groups: Support groups are used for several reasons. First, support groups are used as a way to prevent roadblocks to success from negatively affecting the personal and academic lives of students. Second, support groups are used to help students who are dealing with serious issues. Finally, support groups are used so that the student support team can keep on top of student issues within the school.
Morning and Afternoon Prayer: Coming together as a community to pray and worship God is a foundation of Benilde-St. Margaret’s Catholic mission. There are many liturgical experiences for our students, faculty and staff.
Mass along with morning rosary, class retreats, adoration and reconciliation all enhance the faith formation experience at BSM.
Connecting with our charisms and heritage is central to our Catholic identity. From them we gain a broader vision and an expanded community.
“There are different kinds of spiritual gifts but the same Spirit; there are different forms of service but he same Lord; there are different workings but the same God who produces all of them in everyone...we are many parts but all one body in Christ.” (1 Corinthians 12:4-6...12)
